When We Rise
An ABC TV miniseries inspired by the lives of three San Francisco activists from the GLBTQ community, including Roma Guy, one of the driving forces in the purchase of the Women's Building. The series will span from the late 1960's to current times, and early episodes will feature the Women's Building. Of course, it's made for TV, so facts will be played with loosely to enhance the drama, so for anyone wanting more about the real story will need to get the book! The show premiers on ABC at 9 pm on February 27 and then airs nightly March 1 to March 3. On Thursday at 8:00 PM there will be a documentary featuring the actual people the series features.
